Here in the PNW, we have been hit pretty hard by fires and, therefore, smoke-filled skies on and off for the past 6 weeks. That was the case on Brad and Amanda’s day, but that didn’t hold them back from staging the wedding celebration they had always dreamed of. If anything, it gave them a unique element to their day and a natural light filter.
Courtney and Donavan both have hearts for hospitality. It is literally ingrained in everything they are. Courtney especially continued to check on me throughout the day. She was so gracious and accommodating, asking if I needed anything and if the timeline was inconvenient. . . . I had to laugh and say, “It’s your day, girl, you can do whatever you want!”
It’s just so much a part of who she is and who they are together, so it came naturally to them to love on their guests and wedding party just as much as everyone was loving on them!

Hospitality. Thoughtfulness. Friendship.
These are a few words that describe Courtney & Donavan. Genuinely hospitable, thoughtful, and surrounded by endless friend, true friends, from all walks of their life. They are those people that everyone loves to love! Sneak Peak for now......

I’m always honored when anyone asks me to capture their love, joy, and unity—but it’s extra special when it’s a friend. Holli and I met years ago in a boot camp class and have been friends ever since. We both have a bit of a competitive streak, so the whole time we were in that class, we did everything in our power to beat each other out. Who can jump higher? Who can run faster? Who can lift heavier weights? We were always looking to outdo each other—though now that I am the boot camp instructor, I get to yell at her and tell her to jump higher! ;)
Have I mentioned how much I love weddings?! It’s amazing how after hundreds and hundreds of years, after millions and millions of weddings on Planet Earth, not one is the same. Each couple has their own story, their own personalities and their own flair. My second shooter, Debbie Brown, my good friend and owner of Brown Studios and I loved being part of this truly unique experience!
